This book looks like it could be pretty cool. According to amazon.com it hasn't been released yet but I might just try to weasel a copy from the publisher. It doesn't look like something that's going to be high demand though. It could be completely unreadable but I get the feeling that it's pretty interesting. Then again I love scores.

I read it and enjoyed it -- then again, I like soundtracks a lot. The author covers a lot of material and isn't overly academic about it. That said, he definitely knows the subject, is passionate about it and has a Web site devoted to it -- Scorebaby.com. I highly recommend checking it out.
